In my CPR, there's a word on the background "NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL" is this not alarming?? and my surveillance code for medical is "1". I am just curious about this words in my CPR. I will be travelling soon to Canada next month beacaue my immigrant visa is already granted.

It means you can't use that COPR as a form of ID when travelling. You can only use it to land.

The medical "1" is fine.

if you are from a non visa-exempt country, you will need the visa to enter canada, just the COPR will not do. the airlines will stop you if you don't have a visa and you are travelling on a non visa-exempt passport. the "NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL" marking means just that, you need something else to show that you can enter canada, just the COPR doesn't cut it. that is why you have the single-entry visa on your passport! ;)

Thank you that everything is clear to me now :)
