Who told you that course duration is 1.33 years... It's clearly stated on their website and on my LOA, that course duration is 6 Terms - 2 Years, for M.Eng - ECE
It seems that, You may complete the course in one Year... So I am really confused now...

A new confusion has arised... Thanks to the M.Eng course of Western University.

Concordia's M.Eng program is a 45 credit program with duration - 2 years (Min-2 yrs & Max-5 years).
Western's M.Eng program is a 10 course program with duration - Not clear (It's given, you may complete the program in 1 year)
(Min-1 yr & Max-Not clear)

Now, if Western gives the Master's certificate finally as a one year course, then i think concordia's two year 45 credit program is better....
It's because only for a 2 year (>18 months) course i will get a 3 year PGWV....
Any advise on this...

To increase your confusion: there was a guy on this forum, he was awarded two years pgwp after studying masters in concordia. Some guys were saying its because its 45 credit hours program, not 60 as in other universities.

Yeah 2 years WP is common if the degree duration is anywhere 14 - 16 months.

They say it is possible to complete it in 1 year bcs ,if you study full time in summer rather than going for it off. You will still get 2 year work permit.
1:it depends on how many courses and credits you took. You can complete 45 credits in three or four terms. like taking 15 credits in each term and completing it in 1.5 years which is considered two year bcs every uni have different requirement.
fall 15 credits .
winter 15 credits
summer off
fall 15 credits
spring graduation

Now If you take summer too. It will be like this but it will not make any difference on ur work permit. You will still get 2 year work permit.
fall 15 credits
winter 15 crdits
summer 15 credits
fall graduation.

What if i study all terms... like this
Fall - 2 course
Winter - 2 course
Summer - 1 course
Fall - 2 course
Winter - 2 course
Summer - 1 course
Fall - Graduation
If i study like this... Will i get 3 year PGWP....
By studying like this, i can have plenty of time for studies... :)

I never heard of anyone getting 3-year PGWP based on any Masters program.

And it's a bit injustice if one gets 3-yr PGWP after doing 2-yr program while an UG has to do a 4-yr program.

So am I going to loose money Rossie...
Ok, I get a 2 year PGWP after graduating...
Now I am spending some 30 Lakhs for my master's program and after graduating i get a 2 year PGWP... And let's say i get a job and work for two years..And even if i earn 1 lakh per month. I can only earn 24 lakhs (excluding all my expenses)... Even then its a 6 lakhs loss for me...
What your opinion about this...

People say, salary in India is nothing compared to people earning abroad.... People say you'l become rich...
But HOW HOW HOW ?????????...
Only if you stay like 10 years you will become rich...
People like me, who can work like 2-3 years in Canada will have to loose their money actually... Is that True...

LOL ajosephhh

Truly, engineers never become rich just by serving a company. Unless you're business minded and start your own...

Let me brief you how your life & income will grow if you stick to engineering job:
Entry-level: 50K-70K (2~5 years)
Certified/qualified Eng: 65K-100K (4~12 years)
Tead Lead/Supervisor: 100K-130K (8+ years)
Technical Manager: 120K-140K (12+ years)
(These ranges portray middle class to higher-middle class people)

And most people will be stuck here unless you can climb up the corporate ladder to go into Director, VP, SVP/EVP positions and may be the CEO.

PGWP is entirely depends on your program length..not credit points...u ll get 3 years pgwp if u take 2 years master program even though if u complete the course in 1.5 years
