I'm asking this question just for my personal information. When an applicant is refused, a refusal letter is given to him/her notifying them with refusal reasons. These reasons are already printed on a paper and the language used is quite general. No specific notes are mentioned by a visa officer that's a normal trend. My question is, does visa officer write similar language in his/her computerized notes. Or writes more detailed language. For example. I will not leAve from Canada because my siblings have immigrated there. Or do they simply write "they are not satisfied that I will leave Canada upon completing my studies" .

HI

A refusal letter will never explain the actual reason for refusal. It only paints a small part of the picture.

you are right if u have relatives in Canada and they are sponsoring you then the refusal is for ties and not a bonafide student.

2. If money is not maintained and deposits are bank to bank then they will refuse for not sufficient funds as they believe that funds are not genuine.

3. If the passport is valid for less than a year then they will refuse for home ties.

4. if an applicant has completed masters degree in home country and is applying for a diploma for same degree , application will be refused for 1. not well established in country and 2. course mismatch.

5. if academics are not up to the mark then this would be the reason " considering your academic history, I am not satisfied that you are a bonafide student".

these are the most common reasons for refusals

if i missed something then please point out

each and every point in the applicants file is noted and stored in their system.

For their convenience if a visa is refused they feed that information in CAIPS system ( here they mention the proper reasons for refusal of the application) , it's a global immigration information system used by CIC.

Also if the applicant wishes to obtain a copy of CAIPS notes in order to get a complete explained reason for their refusal they can do so by ordering CAIPS notes from CIC ,

CIC charges a fee for that .

If the applicant has friends or relatives in Canada but they have to have PR status they can retrieve CAIPS notes on behalf of the applicant,

CIC stores all transactions of CAIPS in their system so they note that CAIPS request as well

;D ;D ;D

6. if you misrepresent facts or lie something to specific questions in the application forms.

7. your overall application lacks credibility if you provide fake documents.

8. you have not provided full documentation. some information is missing. This is probably the reason where visa officer might give you a specific refusal note.

It is really awful not to have actual reasons at your disposal. It will be difficult for an applicant to reapply again with proper documentation. It is more like a guessing game for them. It sucks.

Hi

yes , I forgot these last ones , they are crucial.

:o

This is to Obeid_oo bhai,

I have completed my undergrad from Malaysia though an Australian universities' branch campus. My concentration was Computer Systems and Networking. After coming back to Dhaka, i started working full time and pursued evening part time MBA from a local university.

I want to go for masters in Information systems security at Concordia.

This clause is making me confused:
"4. if an applicant has completed masters degree in home country and is applying for a diploma for same degree , application will be refused for 1. not well established in country and 2. course mismatch."

What do you think, should I keep my MBA a secret to the visa officer?
Thanks and regards

Hi

what I meant was a scenario where an applicant has completed BBA in his country or outside that does not matter as long as he returned back after completion of his BBA , now if he were to apply for diploma in business administration in Canada then that would be negative for his app. ( because to pursue a diploma for the same course after an undergrad would be wrong and there should be a strong reason to do so).

how did u get admission into MBA? did u complete BBA?

Hello Obeid_oo bhai,

I had job experience in IT management side, so they took me without a BBA. I have Bachelors in Computer Systems.

That MBA was just to know more about business field, nothing related to my job or studies, now I wanna go for another masters that is related to my job and related to my bachelor degree.

Thanks and regards :)
