Hi,

You MUST apply for a course that's equivalent or higher than your current credentials. Since Diploma is a lower level course than B.tech, your visa will most probably be rejected. Try to go for M.S / Master's degree or atleast a 1 or 2 years PG certificate/Diploma in your field of previous study/work ex.

And for example someone who has a engineer bachelor and wants to go to Canada to study just for fun something else like biotechnology, would it work? By this I mean some people just want to study to acquired knowledge not to get a job , so this people is unable to go there and study?

Hi,

Whether it's just for fun, or gaining knowledge in other field or changing careers, if the programme applied for is vastly different form your previous study/work ex and the credential is lower than your present qualification / degree held... the visa for such applications will most probably be rejected. Saying this, I can make some sense with the rule regarding visa rejection for opting for a course of lower credential as it may indicate the intention to migrate. But I don't get the logic of this rule against changing field and why such rule has been put on place by the Canadian embassies. I'm sure, there are many cases where, the student genuinely wants to study and move to some other field of study... but are unable to apply because of this unwritten rule made by the Canadian embassies.

Hi,

1. Atleast it's NOT applicable in case of MBA programs/general business management programs.
