Hello All!
Its my first time to the forum after a friends recommendation and looking forward to it! :)
I am facing a confusion with the CSR score under the "skill transferability factors".
I have tried to calculate the score of my profile before filling the express entry profile. I did it with a friend as we both have the same education (masters degree) and almost the same work experience (more than 5 years).
On that basis I scored a 50 on the Education and a 50 on the Foreign work experience, scoring a total of 100.

Once I filled my profile on the express entry folder I scored 25 and 25 on each for a total of 50. That was confusing as I was expecting a 100.

Below I also tried to fill the CSR tool and also scored a total of 50.

Skill transferability factors
Education

  • A) Official Language proficiency and education = 25
  • B) Canadian work experience and education = 0
Subtotal = 25

Foreign work experience

  • A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 25
  • B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 0
Subtotal = 25

Certificate of qualification = 0

Subtotal Skill transferability factors = 50

Did the scoring system change currently? any ideas how I can improve that? or any advice?

Thank you!!

Thank you!!

The most likely explanation is that you do not have CLB 9 or more in all four language abilities.

Thank you all for the replies!
For the education I did the WES equivalence and it was accredited for a Masters degree

for the language test I did the English IELTs general test and the following are my grades:
Speaking: 7.5
Reading: 8.5
Listening: 8.5
Writing 6.5

Can you please explain whats a CLB9?

It will be your writing 6.5 you need to get a 7 to get more points. Clb 9 is the conversation of ielts when you get clb 9 or plus in all areas of ielts you can get more points your adaptabilty

I checked the CLB grading and I should have the following:
CLB 10 for reading, listening, and speaking
CLB 8 for writing

Is it that if I improve writing to a CLB 9 or 10 it will change 25 score points? I am a bit confused

And any ideas on the foreign work experience? I am a livelihood consultant I stated the NOC to be
4164 - Social Policy researcher, consultants and program officer
