Company got closed. What all documents to submit for reference letter?

Hi All,

It is great to see a platform where experienced people are sharing their knowledge related to various aspects of Canadian Immigration.

I have a doubt related to the express entry. In total, I have three years of work experience in marketing. 1 year in one company and 2 years in the other one. My first company where I worked for a year got closed. As I will not be able to get the reference letter from that company on the company letterhead, what all documents should I submit which will convince the immigration officers that I have worked there for one year. It would be great if I can get a checklist for the same

Please suggest.

You can gather all documents you have in possession that prove you worked there such as appointment letter, salary payslips, bank statements ..etc. Then, you have to track down few of your past colleagues or supervisors to write you signed affidavits about your work, position and duties and responsibilities.
