Hi all,

my girlfriend and I have been living together for around 10 months now. Are we able to submit our express entry profile now as common law partners? By the time we receive the ITA and before eAPR, we should have been living together for 12 months by then.
or I should only submit the express entry profile after living together for 12 months?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.

No, you can't call yourself common-law yet. Create a profile right now as single. You can then apply as common-law if you have one year of cohabitation by the time you submit your PR app.

Thank you,

We will wait and submit our application for common-law after we fulfil the 12 months. Cheers

No need to wait. As I said, create single profiles now. There is no issue applying as common-law if your status changes after ITA. Note that your points will be re-calculated if your partner is included as accompanying.
