Common law status | Received an ITA, finishing application

Hi helpful community members,

I'm filling out residency application and due to having a paid rep handle my EOI (but not my full PR application), I'm now questioning what to put.

I'm applying whilst currently in what the government and law may classify as a 'common law' relationship - my 'partner' is Canadian, but my paid representative (no longer representing me) said it would be ok to apply as 'single. We have a bank account, have lived together for more than a year - however, the only way they could prove this is when I submit my POF, my bank is probably going to state that one account (although it has little $$$ in it) is in a joint account since a certain date.

Should I apply with 'common law' status or could i proceed as 'single' for my application based on the above?

Any advice appreciated.

Well, what did you (or your agent) state in your EE profile which your ITA was based on?

It'd be pretty hard to justify a discrepancy here unless your circumstances have changed.
