Hi helpful community members,
I'm filling out residency application and due to having a paid rep handle my EOI (but not my full PR application), I'm now questioning what to put.
I'm applying whilst currently in what the government and law may classify as a 'common law' relationship - my 'partner' is Canadian, but my paid representative (no longer representing me) said it would be ok to apply as 'single. We have a bank account, have lived together for more than a year - however, the only way they could prove this is when I submit my POF, my bank is probably going to state that one account (although it has little $$$ in it) is in a joint account since a certain date.
Should I apply with 'common law' status or could i proceed as 'single' for my application based on the above?
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers.
