Common-law sponsorship in Quebec

I have a question regarding the Additional Family Information form (IMM 5406).
In the guide, it says for only the person being sponsored to fill it out. But on the actual form it says that both the principal applicant and their common-law partner must fill in their own copy.
I will obviously err on the side of caution and get both of us to fill it in, but just wanted to check if anyone had personal experience with this.

Only the person being sponsored fills it out. The sponsor does not, because the sponsor is already a Canadian citizen or PR. The form says the spouse or partner should fill it out too because these are generic forms that are used for other classes of immigrants as well.
