COMMON LAW RELATIONSHIP ENDED DURING EE PR APPLICATION

Hi -
After submitting EE Pr (CEC) with a common law spouse included , relationship ends & main applicant informs IRCC via Webform. What happens to both applications - will they continue? Or do they get cancelled? Main applicant would qualify without spouse , but spouse would not have qualified independently .
Any insights appreciated?

There is only one application.

The main applicant will continue to be processed. The common law partner will be dropped from the application and will not receive PR.
