I am planning to apply Common-law partner PR with my boyfriend (we have lived over 2 years together and dated over 4 years).

I got few questions.
Past two years, I haven't really paid any bill or utility since I was in school and the house we live is co-owned by my boyfriend and his parents. So I haven't paid any rent or mortgage. Would it be matter to prove the relationship? (We do have joint bank account, but we barely use it. We both manage our money separately)

Also, He has income easily over the amount suggested to support both me and him. But He hasn't really saved up the money. Plus, He received EI last year(2017) for a couple month due to his work routine(July to April, off in June-July). We assume he has to pay it back after tax return though.

In this circumstances, are we able to still send an application?

Send in statements for your joint account and both of you should make some transfers to show that it's being used. Do you have anything else that is under the both of you? Cell phone plans, car registration, any insurances, signing authority on each other's bank accounts, each others' beneficiary. Have his parents write a letter explaining you both live with them and that they own the house. If you have any personal bills of your own or letters that get sent to that address include that as proof that you live there, the older the letters the better since it will backdate you to that address with your boyfriend.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, we don't live with them - just two of us live together. We haven't really planned this until the last week. So, we haven't really signed up things together although we claimed 2016 Tax Return together in 2017. I have a letter from CRA dated on September 2015, which is the oldest I can find right now.

If I started sign up insurance and cellphone plans together now, would it be still valid? - I am planning to send out the application before June.
