Hi I'm an international student and i met my Canadian girlfriend one and half years now. she wants to sponsor me as common law partnership for my PR.
we dated for more than a year now but we don't stay together but she spends most her time in my house. i recently relocated to the next city and she also joined me few months ago. she does not have good relationship with her parents. she doesn't even know her father but her mum is also staying in a different province. she lives with her landlord as her father. my problem is if i should apply for the common law partnership espouser visa, do i need her parents necessary for the approval before i can get my pr?

You don’t need her parents approval but you do need to live together for 1 continuous year not just stay at your home. You will need proof that you are in common law relationship starting from the 1st day you live together and throughout the year. For example both being on a lease, both having bills with the same address starting from the period when you started living together, reporting each other as common law to the CRA after 1 year, etc.
