Common-law partner sponsorship, in-land, processing time

Hi,

When applying for the in-land common-law, how long does the processing time take until I get the answer for refusal/acceptance/incomplete application?

And what if the Canadian authorities allow me a short limited time to stay in Canada at my entry but the processing is still ongoing?

assume sponsorship takes around 12 months to complete processing.

if you entered Canada on a short duration visitor visa, you may apply for visitor visa extension and inland common-law sponsorship with OWP....your inland sponsorship will be processed regardless of your status in Canada but the OWP will only be approved if as at the time the OWP application was received you were not out-of-status

you can apply for inland sponsorship with OWP within the one month when you have status.....but you have to ensure you meet the requirement for common law to apply
