We applied as common law and got copr recently. We are going to get married back home in February BEFORE we land. I know we'll have to inform cic, but do we need to get our copr changed? It's not like we have to sponsor the spouse after we get married. Also, cic has already done background screening for both of us and knows we are in a "marriage-like" relationship.
Stressed because we don't have enough time to get it changed, or land and wait for pr card, or to get a travel document. We fly out in 2weeks!

I know it's been more then 2 years since your situation, but we have the exact same issue now. We got our COPR as common law and we are getting married before landing, not enough time to contact CIC as the flight is 3 days after our wedding). I would really really appreciate your response :) Thanks!
