We know very little about this case. The IRB knows much more about it, and they've twice ruled that she qualifies for status here. Anyone who knows about the IRB will know that the IRB is very hard on refugee claimants and many members of the board refuse the vast majority of cases which come before them, so, it's not as though she had it easy or anything.
I would encourage people not to turn against others who are in more precarious and difficult situations than we are. Her status as a refugee and her future eligibility for PR status does not harm us as citizenship applicants.
We should focus our frustration on our MPs, the PM and the CIC leadership, who are accountable for the unreasonable wait times and the anti-immigrant tone of this government.
