Can a US Citizen go to Canada to do the landing and then come back to the US to take care of some things even though the Canadian immigrant visa is valid only for one entry?
The reason why I asked is because I don’t think it really matter for a US Citizen, because with a US passport you can get in and out of Canada at any time, Am I correct?

Thank you.

A lot of people do this, land and go back, because they have to take care of stuff. If you can not stay in Canada long enough to get your PR card in the mail (4-6 weeks usually), you can ask when you land. I remember somebody on here saying that as long as he had his landing papers, they would let him back in.

I am sure they would not like you to use your US passport only and come back as a tourist when you are already a PR. Besides, they would see the PR stamp in your passport.
