Dears,

Hope you are doing well,

I need your confirmation regarding my application

I am applying for information security college certificate, but not sure the length of work permit given after finishing the study plan which is 1 year only

Thank you

Assuming is a recognised public college then you could qualify for a one year PGWP . Its all detailed here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp

Which college so someone can confirm whether is a public college or not

Thank you and this is the program,

Program description
INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY – COMPUTERS AND NETWORKING (GRADUATE CERTIFICATE) in Durham College in Oshawa

And i need to double check the meaning of the work permit, is it the period allowed for me to search for jobs while I am in Canada

And is the language course period considered in the 1 year visa, or it is counted additinal period to the 1 year VISA ?

Thank you so much
Nicky

All of those answers are on CIC.

English courses are not elligible for pgwp. The length of your program determines the length of the pgwp. It could be 8 months or it could be a year. It's up to the visa officer.

There is no extra time given to find work. That's just not going to happen. Just get a job, any job, it doesn't matter what it is. There is a phenomenon here in canada called Canadian Experience. You get that by getting a job. Even at tim hortons. Don't for a second think that you will get a high paying job in your field to start upu off. It just won't happen. Or it very rarely does. Get that minimum wage job to build your employement resume and look for work in your field at the same time. Expect to start at entry level.

Hi,
Can you please clarify this? you were talking about his specific field or in general for fresher guys. Thanks
