Hello everyone, I'm from Algeria and very interested in studying in Canada and keep Living there but I'm not very informed about It, nevertheless I did some research and ended up with a conclusion that I'll tell you about it in the end of my text.
I have a Bachelor degree in Automatics ( technology field ) and I'm currently working as electronic devices fixer ( Réparation électronique - ps I'm more of à French speaking person), anyway I found that the studies that would suit me are college studies ( that was my conclusion) since they are less academic and more related to working ( that what I was told ) but here in Algeria many students that have university degrees ( all the ones that I know) didn't get a visa based on there college admissions the problem being that they are regressing to a lower level of there initial studies. In the end my question would be can I apply to a college and base my visa on it ? Or is the study level regressing is a valid point. Sorry for the long paragraph hope someone will read it thank you in advance.

You can apply for a college program, however it should be for a post graduate diploma only. Any other diploma will be a lower level of study than your bachelor degree and will likely result in refusal.

Study level regressing makes it very difficult to get a study permit and makes IRCC think you are not a genuine student. This is why the level of study you select in Canada needs to be a post graduate diploma (not a regular diploma or a graduate diploma or anything else).

The studies you want to take in Canada should also be related to your past studies and work experience.

If your aim is to get PR, make sure the course you take in Canada is 2 years long and not 1 year.

Hello thank you for your answer, I have another question if you could answer it ?
Here in Algeria we study just 3 years to get our first graduate degree ( License) so it's not really a Bachelor since the Bachelor takes a 4year course.
Would that be a problem since I'm opting for a master degree ? ( Maîtrises) or do they accept the 3 years diploma as a Bachelor degree? I heard also I can do an extra year to be on level with the Bachelor degree? Is there such a thing and if yes how do I know if I'm legitimate for that year ? Thank you in advance.

Short answer is that the choice of what a given program/institution will require is up to the institution - check with the institution first.
