Cohabitation

In autumn im gonna visit my boyfriend and would like to cohabitate with him after a year. First i would visit him up with eTA. After i would like to extend my visitor status. The only question i have left is: What do i need to tell the officer. Can i just tell him about my plans? If not how do i convince him that im leaving, do i need a return ticket or something?

You will need a return ticket regardless of your plans. Airlines will refuse boarding if you don’t have a flight out of Canada. CBSA may also refuse you entry if you don’t (it’s an obvious sign you will overstay).
