Hi Friends,

My child is 4 years old and he is a bilateral cochlear implanted child. Now he can speak well and not attend for speech therapy.

What kind of impact will this have on our timeline? We will inform this to medical officer upfront.

Presently we are waiting for ITA with 449 marks.

Thank You

Should not be a problem. I read through the whole Medicals page. Read it yourself.

It doesnt matter.

It doesnt matter.
Hi, thanks for your response. When you say it doesn't matter you are implying cochlear implants are not a reason for medical inadmissibility anymore.... or it doesn't matter its automatic rejection. Wud be grateful if you can clarify.

Medical inadmissibility depends on your cost on healthcare as a burden. What do you mean anymore? Have they been before?

By anymore, I am referring to the revised limit of healthcare per person. Since both my child was implanted 10 years back and there is no further medical cost. They dont need any speech therapy, attend normal school and are using latest devices. I will have to present my case in appeal or it's something medical examiner will assess. Is there a standard list which describes cost to the exchequer of various disabilities?
