co-op work permit and study permit

Hello guys,

I have a doubt, I am currently applying for a co-op work permit for May-August 2020 term. This is part of my study program.
But my study permit expires on 31st July 2020, so I am not sure if I will be given a work permit till August 2020 or 31st July 2020 when my study permit is expiring.

Also, I have my second program starting in Sept 2020 for which I will anyway require a new study permit or get this extended. So I am a bit confused now about how should I proceed :

- Apply for just a coop work permit now and re apply for study permit extension later ?
- or any other suggestion ??
