Hello, I'm here in 2 year program and I've a co-op in following semester.
What if I failed to get a co-op? what can I do if I'm unable to find one? Please help me.

hello, I am in the same situation now, did you find a co-op ? what you did or what you know if I could not find a co op ?
Thank you

Did you discuss that with your university? Each institution is different

Yes, I have communicated and they say you have 3 months time to find a coop. After you have to stay as visitor. I don't know what will happen

It depends on the school. A coop is a lot like a regular semester, if you cant find one and your school doesn't provide an option like taking courses instead you will be essentially not studying for that semester which can cause big problems immigration wise and PGWP wise.
If you school wants you to switch to visitor that is bogus because then how will you get back to student status? Remember all these applications take many months so its not like you can just witch overnight.

Try talking to Career Center in your school and ask to help you find a coop. Follow their guidance and you will get something, even if the pay is little and the duties wouldn’t be ideal for you. Another way to find a job is to search online, but make sure to filter the results since you might run into a scam

They should really provide an alternative like taking courses during covid, no one wants to take people now, most places are not in offices.

There are still remote internships. It is possible to find stuff if you look for it. Otherwise, the guy should really be in contact with their institution now and not sit here

Thank you for your reply. I am ready to work for free only to fulfil those hours for practicum. Career Centre just list us companies that have hired before but for now that said only "I am sorry but it is difficult situation"

Do you think that I am siting here and I am not applied or getting in touch with school ?
