Hi,

at first I have received a 16 month post graduate work permit after doing a 2 years of study, then i went to a lawyer and reapplied the workpermit and i received a 3 year workpermit.

On the second workpermit the Client ID has changed to different no.... I called the immigraion about this and they said thats totally fine and i have nothing to worry.

so, for the future applications do i have to give my previous id or the new id. Did some had the same issue?

Thanks

For me also same.

First time, I came to canada through 6 month Work permit. That time, i was given with one Client ID.

After 4 month working in Canada, i moved to India. Then, I applied for 1 year work permit. that time, i got new client ID.

so, I guess CIC allocates client ID based on type of work permit. Now for my PR application, I have given only the New Client ID. but attached copies of all work permit.

I don't think that would be a problem! They actually issued me an entire new UCI in the email in which they sent me my AOR. The UCI on my study permit and PGWP are totally gone and I need to use the new one to access my application status on line.
