You’d have to get from the train station out to where there are boat tours and stuff. That would be the complicated issue. There may be bus tours that go out to the thousand islands for the day or weekend. If you live in Montreal you may be able to find bus tours to go to the Laurentians. They exist but haven’t done the research. I would google and see what you can find.

Actually pretty easy to find. Sure there are lots of options. I am just not a bus tour kind of person but many people are. May be a good option for you.

Thanks for the link, I'll definitely have a look. Not really a bus-tour kind of person either but I enjoy meeting new people so why not. Although worried it might be more expensive than just going on my own.
Thanks guys for all your advice and perspectives

This was just day trips. Without your own car this would be the most cost effective.
