Classes while visitor status?

Hi all,

Which institutions is it legal to study at while under a visitor's visa? Language classes? Schools which are not Designated Learning Institutions?
There is a school in Canada which I study at from California (most students take the classes from outside of Canada). It's not a DLI; is there any issue if I attend a seminar, etc., while visiting Canada?

If you already know which school/class you are interested, maybe it's better to ask that specific school.

Study 6 months or less does not need a study permit so a visitor visa should be fine see here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-who.asp
