Hi All,

I am currently working at Ericsson India as a Senior Engineer and managing customer network through monitoring of network entities like BSC,HLR,MSC,MGW,MSS and doing fault rectification activities. I have 5.6 years of experience in Ericsson itself which is a Telecom vendor company.

So kindly suggest me right National Occupational Classification as in NOC 2133 and 2241 it is clearly written that "employed by communications companies,".

I am in confusion that whether Telecom engineers are eligible for Canada skilled worker program.

2133 Electrical and electronics engineers
2241 Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians

Although both the NOCs do not say 'Telecommunications' upfront you may need to review the Duties and Responsibilities listed in the 2 NOCs.

Duties and Responsibilities match is the utmost important criteria irrespective of what Designation or Employment Organisation has been mentioned.

Since you are a Telecom Engineer you will be the best person yourself to verify if your current and/or past experience match the Duties and Responsibilities listed in either of the NOCs.
