Hi guys,
Claiming Cook as Primary Occupation, NOC 6322 under CEC class MUST needs a License or Trade Certificate? I'm confused because, while creating EE profile it says if the primary occupation is a qualified trade ( four digit code begins with 632,633,72 etc), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example when they moved from apprentice to being licensed trade person)
TIA

This is a bit of a strange occupation, in that it IS recognized as a skilled trade, but certification is not mandatory to work in the occupation.

If you read the NOC, it says -
  • "Trade certification is available, but voluntary, in all provinces and territories."
"Voluntary" here means "not mandatory."

Since this form is also used by those whose occupations are not skilled trades, the advice is to put the date when you completed your education (high school, college degree, whatever applies to you).
