Hi All,

I'm in this situation now. I claimed 50 point (job offer) but I am an OWP holder.
I received an ITA but hesitates to apply.

Current status:
- OWP holder
- completed one year Canadian work experience under NOC Cat B in September 2018

If i apply, will the following supporting documents be accepted for that additional 50 points?

- I have a paper based OINP nomination under Job Offer Category (approved in Sept 2018)
- I have a "Work Permit Support Letter" from OINP (work permit extension for 2 years - closed work permit).
But i have not submitted this yet as my OWP is still valid until mid next year.
- Reference letter stating that i am a permanent employee

Should i proceed to apply or decline the ITA?

Hi All,

This sounds like the traditional (non EE) PNP program, so is irrelevant to your EE application.

Since you are an open work permit holder (employer not named on your work permit), you would need an LMIA to be eligible for the 50 points. So, no.

Should i proceed to apply or decline the ITA?
Depends if your CRS score is still above the cut-off for your draw, after deducting the 50 points. If yes, you can continue. If no, then it would be unproductive to continue.
