Hi Everyone,

between 2019 and 2024, I wasn’t physically present in Canada for about ~ 16 months on the trot (from dec 2020 to march 2022) due to covid lockdown and personal reasons. I was also away on short bursts during the above period but the time away consecutively is what concerns me.

question is — taking the above period (2019-2024) into consideration and the 16 months i spent away from Canada, will my application NOT be considered? Thanks in advance to everyone who can clear this for me.

You did not mention the physical presence days you have accumulated in the 5 yr period between 2019 - 2024. How much is that?

sorry. Currently at 885 days (fully realise that I am not there yet but more of a concern at this stage)

Get 1095+ days and apply. That's what matters not the in and out of Canada. You would need police clearance certificate for your stays outside Canada for 183+ days while applying for Citizenship.
