I am an American man and am having a child with a Canadian woman. I want to aquire dual citizenship in the future. My question is: I want claim the child as mine but the child will most likely be born in Canada. What are my options?
Having a Canadian citizen child will not entitle you to CDN citizenship. Being named on the birth certificate will demonstrate that you are the father.
