Any child born in canada is a canadian citizen by birth. Status of the parents doesnt matter.

It does! If parents are diplomats the child will not acquire citizenship. Of course is not the case here, but be accurate when provide an answer.

To give further accuracy, only one parent employed as diplomat is needed to disqualify child for Canadian citizenship. But usually if one parent is a diplomat, the other spouse is given diplomatic status depending on the employed diplomat.
