Hi,
we are planning to apply for citizenship in a month. Could you please advise us what preparation steps we need to do?
How long does it takes for all the proccess to be completed?
Thank you in advance for all your inputs.

Hello Suin,

Make sure you fill complete application, don't left anything blank, do sign, attach photos & attach online calculation.
If you have any question call them they will guide you.
Best of luck

Thank you for your reply. How can I know which office will process my application?

On CIC site they say - To become Canadian citizens, adults must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying.
Will it be a problem if someone is short of one day?

Yes. That is why they ask for 1095 days and not 1094. In fact you should have 1095 days on the day before you sign your application.

I would advise you to wait even longer and not apply until you have 1095 days and a couple of more months. If you apply with exactly 1095 days, you will increase your risk of getting a residency questionnaire which will really delay your application.

Thank you for your reply. What is the residency questionnaire? Will it still apply to us even if we lived in Canada all 3 years without leaving?
Thank you.

Residency questionnaire is when immigration thinks you may be short on the requirements. It is more likely to happen if you apply with fewer days but they can also decide to do it randomly. They will then ask you to prove the days you were in Canada.

Thank you for your reply. It can sound weird but how can we prove that we were in Canada all these years?
