Check it with your client id "xxxx-xxxx" including the hyphen in the middle. They have opened files as of July 5th 2013

No there is no information in e cas.

No I can't access e cas.

I tried it by my client id "xxxx-xxxx" which is in my PR card but can't access e cas. I put hyphen in the middle too.

You don't need to add hyphen, just 8 digits #. It looks like they have not started working on your application yet. In our case it took almost 2.5 months for us to finally get access to ecas.

Folks,

I am in the same boat as you. My application was received on July 5th. I called them today, Oct 10th, 2013. And as of now I am not in a system and I have not received the acknowledgement letter from CIC. They advised to wait another 3 weeks at least.

Did you receive your acknowledgement letter? Can you see your ID in e-cas?

thanks.

Guys,

Here is what happened to me:

Online it says that they have received my application on May 27, 2013 and sent the AOR on May 27, 2013. They started processing my application on Sep 10, 2013. Mid September (which is after 3.5 months after they sent me the AOR) I called the CIC to check where my AOR is (bcoz supposedly they sent it on May 27, 2013). But the CIC agent said we just sent the AOR on Sep 10. I was like how come? Online it says it was sent 3.5 months ago. The agent confirmed that it was sent Sep 10th and I should wait couple of weeks. By Oct 1st I received it. This confirmed to me that it was actually sent on Sep 10 and not May 27.

So give it time. They might send your AOR when they start processing your application.

Hope that helps. Don't worry... 8)

Thank you farrous13. My problem is that I neither received AOR nor can see myself on-line. I called CIC today and they could not find my application in the system either. Today they are processing July 18th he said. Then he referred to the instructions that says that I have to wait another 4-6 weeks and then if it will be nothing in a system, I need to re-submit.

I sent my application with UPS and I got a confirmation number and signature of CIC rep.

I'd like to know whether folks with the application submitted near July 5th can see their files in e-cas online.

Thank you.

Winner77,
You and me are in the same boat. I sent mine through canadapost express and it was delivered on July 5th. I called them on 17th October and they gave me the same answer as they gave you.

I guess we just need to wait. Let me know if you get any response and vice versa.

Appreciate it.

Wrote this a bit early :).

I called them today again and they said that the acknowledgement has been mailed to my address today itself in the morning and will receive it next week. Keeping fingers crossed until I receive it
