Hi,

Here is the situation.

I lived from 5th Oct 2010 - 22th Oct 2010 at Location 1 in Vancouver.

I moved from Vancouver to Toronto and traveled by Car and came here on 26h Oct 2010.

Between 26th Oct 2010 - 31st Oct 2010 I lived in Motel.

On 1st Nov 2010 - I started living in rental apartment.

Question is : How should I show my resident period ?

Like This --1
2010-10-05 To 2010-10-31 Location 1 in Vancouver
2010-11-01 To Current Location 2 in Mississauga

or Like This --2
2010-10-05 To 2010-10-22 Location 1 in Vancouver
2010-10-22 To 2010-10-31 In Travel and stayed at Motel ( to be specific here )
2010-11-01 To Current Location 2 in Mississauga

Suggest Please,

Thank you very much

AND BTW

There is nothing called till current... you should put DAY/ MONTH/ YEAR dates

and that will be the date of you signing your application

For example

you live in your current address from Oct 5th 2010 till today dec 29th 2013

and you will sign you application today ( for example ) then you put the date of today as you are still living in this date ... I called cic and i asked them about that and i am sending my application next month.

A question regd. eligibility. The website says "only the four (4) years preceding the date of your application are taken into account" to apply for the citizenship. Background of my stay in Canada until now...
I arrived in Sept 2006, became PR in July 2008, stayed in Canada until Nov 2009, was out of Canada from 2009 till July 2012.
Came back and have applied for PR renewal as it was expiring in Sept 2013.
Question is…
Does my 4years preceding the date of application take effect since I became PR (i.e. July 2008) or they wouldn't count it?

Thanks and Regards

Only 4 years from the date of application count for the residency calculation. If you apply on Jan 1, 2014, the 4 years would be from Jan 1, 2010 to Jan 1, 2014. Days before Jan 1, 2010 would not count. Based on the information provided by you, I don't think you are eligible for citizenship at this juncture and would only be eligible in July 2015.

I think option 1 is the best for this situation.
you don't have to split days within a single month (october). just say you stayed at location 1 in october.
my opinion.
