Hi all,

I have question about PCC from India.
My wife and kids were there in India for a year after landing out of eligible 4 years.

Do we need to get PCC and submit with application?
Does anyone know how long to take to get PCC from India (I may visit BLS at Brampton)?

Thank you,
Shri.

Hi ,

Thank you. I understood from application that I have to send PCC with that. So, I have to get the PCC first before submitting application.

Do you know anything about how long it will take to get India PCC? Understood from BLS website, will be around 4 to 6 weeks. But not sure the real time line.

Thanks again.

So when I gave request for PCC appliation to BLS-Brampton 10 days before, they also collected the Passport. Awaiting PCC still. Did your friend also experience the same request ?

Nope. I read in the website that no "urgent" processing is allowed..and it will take 30 days for Citizenship category of PCC applications as they have to wait for reports from respective Passport issuing Office location.
The challenge I see is the original passport is also submitted as requested by BLS. :-(

After landing here in Canada i never travelled to India, spent all 3 years in Canada as Pr (except 5 days USA travel) and Do I need to submit India PCC ? Asked in application about last 4 years. But most of my friends told me ... No need to submit India PCC if not travelled to India after landing. Second question I want to travel to India 8-9 months after citizenapplication filling and my PR will be active. I think I can spend as much time as I can as my PR in good active status. Please suggest.

Based on your provided inputs you don't need PCC.

Regarding travel to India 8-9 months after application, you will need to inform IRCC and in all probability they will hold till you return to initiate security clearances. So, maybe good idea to get the Citizenship, and travel via Evisa.

Looks like I am wrong..though I remember reading somewhere implying that. Thanks for correcting me.

Update: The link below talks of informing 2 weeks or more...maybe it is no more relevant ?

Nothing mentioned, you are confused, no where mentioned like that, If you have valid Canada PR status, and PR status will be in good status in future, then no risk of staying out of CANADA.

Clear cut mentioned in CIC website that applicant can stay of CANADA as long as he wish but his PR status should be in active or good status. Link
