Hi there,
Last time, I applied for PR renewal before completing the 730 days as some relative advised me to go for that. I completed 730 days and left Canada. Once out of Canada, I applied for PRTD. I was interviewed for PRTD and lady told me, she had doubt about my residency obligation. She approved PR renewal but told me, I will have PR secondary review in next renewal.

This year, I was eligible for citizenship and applied for that with 1200 days presence. My citizenship application is in process since 8 months. In the meantime, my PR Card will expire in next 8 months. The question is, should I go for PR Renewal right away or wait for few months. Will secondary review in PR impact my citizenship application?

Are you living in Canada and do you plan on travelling outside Canada before getting citizenship in the next year or two.

I am living in Canada. As part of current job, I will traveling before getting citizenship.

Then you need to apply for PR card renewal. It may take longer to process if you have been flagged for secondary review.
