Hey man.

Do not be stressed.

Lets hope and good luck to all
Morning Anton.
You know what I am not stressed about it .I have learnt to take it as it is .
Just annoyed that there is no transparency and they can't give honest answers .
Thats all everyone wants is honesty and fairness

So I just found out from a friend familiar with the situation at the IRCC Saskatoon. It appears like they are processing applications on time because several applications have been marked complex. That’s why you see some early 2020 applicants receiving oath and most 2019 applicants still waiting.

Once an application is marked complex, they are not included in estimating average processing time. To ensure that they quickly process all applications, some applications which would have been marked routine pre-COVID have been marked complex.

If your application is routine, then you can easily proceed to oath within 3-6months of passing citizenship test. If your application is marked complex, then only God knows when it will be completed - this will also depend on the officer.

In all, if you have more than two travel stamps and claiming days as legal resident before PR, your application is likely to be marked complex. Even the slightest mistake could result in application being marked complex.

I wish you all the best!

Hi

Thanks for information

I do not think this is true - In all, if you have more than two travel stamps and claiming days as legal resident before PR, your application is likely to be marked complex.

If it is true than majority of applications are complex

I might be wrong

What is your thought

Interesting. Fits what's happening on the ground. They needed an excuse/justification to proceed with some applications while ditching others. Is complex === non-routine?

But apparently complex also applies to citizenship applications if Background is still in process and til the time you get Oath Ircc would think if you are ineligible for citizenship. So they can be used interchangeably where they fit best.

@anton1990 Sadly, that is the case. They want to process as many applications as possible and meet the deadlines. Once your application is marked complex (non-routine), then there is a reason for delay which frees officers.

once in-person interviews return, most complex applications will be finalized in no time. For now it’s going to be slow.
