Citizenship Application for Minor 5(2) / Still some doubts to clear

but with a parent citizen and only child applying would fall under 5(1) which means she has to demonstrate residency requirements? since my wife has the residency requirements not my child, so i was thinking to apply for them together to fall under 5(2). Please correct me.

Apply for your child under 5(2) - for minor applicants that have a parent who is ALREADY a citizen (either parent), no residency requirement. Keep this separate from your spouse's application - my suggestion would be to apply BEFORE your spouse applies.

You don't want them processed together or connected - because if you combine them, your child's citizenship grant will be held up while your spouse qualifies. That may or may not be long, but there's no reason to make it subject to your spouse's citizenship app being finalized.
