Hello, after getting PR when I will be eligible to apply for citizenship? I worked in Canada for 2 years before getting PR, will it be counted?
Thanks

good question,

hey just changed guideline on this last year, they count some time is what i heard(not firm) hope someone is knowledgeable about this here..

It won't be counted.

"To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must have been physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for at least 1,460 days in the six years immediately before the date of your application. You must also have been physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for 183 days in each of four calendar years that are fully or partially within the six years immediately before the date of your application."

Thanks a lot. What if I stay as a PR, I must be in Canada for 2 years out of 5? Is there a requirement about each year, how many days in a year I must be in Canada?

Come on dude, quick google search will give you that answer.

I think there may be changes coming according to this link https://openparliament.ca/bills/42-1/C-6/?tab=mentions
