I submitted my application on February 2011, since then,my application status remained intact till Dec 2011, it changed to "in process" which means it will take another several months to hear back anything from CIC. I called in this morning, the representative told me now it takes approximately 24months if application goes through well without any problem. However, from the threads i read on this site, lots of applicants who applied on 2010 or before are getting their knowledge tests in a one year period. I'm just wondering is CIC deliberately slowing down the citizenship process or too much applications they have to go through?
By the way, I'm applying from Vancouver.

don't ever listen to the timeline given by cic call agents. those people are helpless and some even have no clue of cic policies.

it's true, but my application is still in process after submitted for one year, so ya, not much i can do under this circumstance.

well...I applied for my citizenship on Sep 2011....eCAS still shows Received...........But my brother applied for his citizenship n the complete process took 12 months (frm application submission date till the Oath date)......after 6 months my sister-in-law applied for her citizenship n the complete process took 8 months ( from citizenship application submission date till Oath date)......and she got her citizenship in May 2011...so I guess now their processing is fast.......our local office is Mississauga....
