Hello,

I applied under NOC 3131. But because cap was reached my application was returned on 6th April. Which i did' nt receive in spite its 35 days into it. Similar is the story with my friend who is waiting for the last two months. The returned application contain some original documents plus 1100 dollar DD. I am very nervous, as CI0 denied to take any liability and they do not have any track number of my post. How much time would it take to get a regular mailing post from Canada to Pakistan and what else i can do beside wait to get my post. Plz kindly help.

Hey.....how you came to know that they returned the application have you confirmed from CIO?

I'm sorry that you didn't make it in time before the CAP was reached. Check the Returned Applications in the link below and you may get a better idea of the time frame. CIO sends the envelope by regular post, no tracking available. All the best.

It takes up to 3.5 months to reach you.

Mine took 2 months. I had to send it twice and both took exactly 2 months. I am in europe, imagine where Postal Service is not so fast!!.

Mine got returned once on 05-OCT-2010 & reached me on 12-JAN-2011.... later I re-filed it and this time it got through.... :)

thanks all for such an informative feedback. Really, it is this community that provide and share experiences, otherwise, CIO co operate very little.

Dear Shah

I am also Pakistani and sent my application but did not received any reply can you tell me where and how I have to send inquiry. Please tell me contact or email address. I shall be very thankful to you.

When did you filed?
If you are waiting for more than 6 weeks, you can approach CIC by using this url: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/csu.asp

Brother, i already inquired through that link. But CIO denied to take any liability of post, which is paradoxical as they ask us to send such valuable original documents plus the money.

Then Call them ... you might end up waiting for 30mins... but it works :)

So do nt you think i should wait, as its a month since they sent it, where you got it after 3.5 months?
Yes, I think your only choice, at present, is to wait. There is nothing that CIO can tell you as they return docs by regular post and there is no way to track it. At one month, it is way too early to worry that it will not reach you. I guess your decision will have to be whether you prepare another complete application so that it is ready to courier when the CAP resets in July, or wait. In any case, you will have to do new forms and bank draft, so maybe the effort of getting the original job duty letters and educational docs again would be a good idea. All the best.
