CIC website says medicals received

I see many people posting and writing "the cic website says medicals received" or "processing".... where and how do you get access to all that? Do they give you a client number or something once they approve sponsorship so you can check those things?

Until you receive the sponsor approval letter with the sponsor's Universal Client Identification (UCI) number, you may check the electronic Client Application Status (eCAS) using your receipt information. See the link here. https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Until your application is actually opened and entered into eCAS, you will receive a response that the system could not identify you using the information provided.
