For post Nov 2008 cases. Aka 'Fast Track' applicants.

I just noticed that when you put the mouse over the third type (without clicking) in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/menu-perm.asp / it appears as after February 26 and not November 2008 as actually written, so I assume there must be some kind of mistake.

i think processing time begin from the time of sending the full application
which practically did not begin in 2008 but from 2009

so i think it is not an error

isnt it

Hard to believe these time lines. We, who applied in 2009, are told that it takes 64 weeks for Buffalo to start processing our applications. Applications sit in their office for at least a year before being processed. Six or eight months to finalize? Are you kidding me?

I also think Saedmahraan is right. Though we had sent our Apps in between Feb-Nov 2008, those apps were still 'on hold' pending the Ministry Instructions. And started processing only after that.

So, these processing times [calculated for 1yr. of Jan-Dec 2009] hold 'valid' for such cases as well.

The OP6 clearly indicates that processing times are calculated from the time visa office eligibility review is complete that is when your file status changes to In Process. A friend of mine sent full application to Tokyo visa office in April 2009 and it was there untouched until January 2010! Now she has received medicals and PPR and is expecting to have here visa in a month. So for her it took more than a year but for the visa office statistics 4 months only!!

Still, the processing times are misleading I suppose! ;)

That is correctly said wpc71. Imagine, in my case as well my file was untouched for exactly a year and one month. It only began to be in process on February 5th.

I think u guys r missing the point. Those tables r for 'number of cases dealt' in the 1 year [2009 -Jan/Dec]. It's an estimate of 'fast track' processing in the first year of its existence.

It doesn't mean that it is 'only' for applicants who have applied between Jan-Dec 2009. It encompasses all the 38 list applicants -whenever they have applied... be it in Feb 2008 or Nov 2008 or later.

It's about: in 1 year [Jan-Dec 2009] the various CHCs have handled/completed such-n-such number of case files. There would yet be many who are still lingering-on... due to aka -background & security checks.

Note: Between Feb 2008 & Nov 2008, all applications were put 'on hold', due to the impending Ministrial Notification.

Thanks Qorax! It was very informative bro! :)

kindly clear me from when they count time?after inprocess? or after sending full document?
