Hi edmsept12,
I can only speak based on my personal experience. Few months ago my GCMS notes saying they counted 11 months of work experience based on the date on my employment letter (though I applied when I accrued 13 months of experience). My status at that time was "Review recommended" as well..
I was so nervous back then thinking I will most likely get rejected, but I submitted an updated letter right away explaining my interpretation. Few months after I finally got my MR!
I highly recommend being proactive and send them another letter. The worst they can do with your letter is just ignoring it, but at least that's better than waiting for them to do something.
Hope that helps and good luck!

Not sure how it work but it look like they do some time consider updated letter..probably depend on VO or as post says depend if u applied after acquiring required exp. I am not saying that you should apply and send updated letter later. What I am pointing out is some time its just matter of luck
