You should post your question to the Asylum / Refugee section of the forum. You'll probably get more accurate answers there. Good luck.

Usually, the pace at which apps are opened at VO depends on the amount of backlog they have. But as soon as it is opened and registered as being arrived at the VO, your PA side of Ecas will change to "In Process"

So, u should just hold on a bit , a change is coming soon..

You need to contact the Ministers Office....Start with an email...will take 10 to 30 days for them to respond but....also email CIC case specific...there is a link @ CIC...its a couple of places to start...

Hi Everyone,

I just received my letter for sponsorship approval. My wife is in Guatemala and I was expecting the package to live Mississauga to Mexico City since as far as I know they process the request for Central America. The letter states that the file is being forwarded to Guatemala... I hope the average processing time is similar to the Mexico (17 Months).

Please let me know if you are aware of changes that I am not.

Thank you

Hey guys. Everything currently says 17 months. Are they likely to get done sooner than that? Id either be going through sydney or london.

I read that the 17 months is for 80% of thr applications but does that mean around 17 months or within 17 months?

It appears to mean absolutely nothing. CIC probably just wants to tell people to wait until 17 months are up so they can get a break from all the e-mails. 8)
Seriously though, the spreadsheets for Sydney and London would give you much more accurate information.

i have a question concerning spouse sponsorship is the something i can do to speed up the sponsering process of my wife and daughter it has taken too long and i want then to come quuickly , is there anything related to human cases the government can take by to speed up the application process ???

I had to go dig through the London and Sydney threads, but here they are.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gINNzqkPLZwlNC1lWdQ2xk_Rz4JkD_5vFCxEKcJREnU/edit#gid=0 Sydney
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kYJ0Xo_jHLeArkCVeicZyqIE8YLpnZqVJlFrnpmKMx0/edit London
Note that London also processes applicants from Pakistan, so the numbers may be slightly skewed.

The 2015 sheet may give some overall global insight...see link in my signature...plus CIC actually posts stats on their processing times in excel but you have to dig a bit to find them...and they are usually lagging by a year (and a lot has changed in that year)
