Did anybody notice this? when calculating the days of absence, the calculator works this way:
If one leaves Canada on Jan 1st 2016 and returns on Jan 4th 2016, instead of 4-1=3 days, the calculator gives 2 days of absence, does it mean the days of absence are only those days you are absolutely not in the country, i.e. 2nd and 3rd, but for 1st and 4th, your departure and arrival day, you actually spend part of the day in Canada so they don't count as absence, is that right?
 
Yes, under the current rules , the departure day and the arrival day counts as present days in Canada
 
Anyone know if this will continue to remain the same after bill C-6 receives royal assent?

It should remain the same. However to be absolutely sure we have to wait until the new online calculator is released officially, which most probably will happen when the Governor set the effective date regarding the new proposed 3/5 rule.
