Backlog? Any thoughts?

I thought it’s gonna be a bit fast now but I don’t think the papers are moving. Been waiting 3 months turning 4 months. Some of my friends who sent their app didn’t receive any email of AOR. ( 2 months since they submitted ) wondering what is happening???? This gonna make me sane ... ☹️

Don't set your expectations based on this forum and what you see from the members or the spreadsheet.
Take the 12 months process face value and anything faster than that as a nice bonus.
That would probably help you cope with the wait !

Hope you hear from them soon !!

Feb 5 - submitted
Feb 7 - received at nova scotia
March 14 - AOR email
May 1 - IP
..... nothing follows

Probably another 2 months at least for your test, if everything is within "normal" processing in terms of your background checks. After that, 4-6 months to oath.
Not if he’s assigned to Mississauga office...

Best to assume that there's a backlog and it's going to take you 12+ months, rather than hoping that you'll be one of the rare and lucky cases that's done in 4 months. Sure, it's true that some people get through the system that quickly, but if you set that as your standard expectation you'll likely just end up frustrated.

Lmao I've been sitting on IP since before you submitted your application. Wait because that's all you can do now. And there's many people like me (check the October/Nov spreadsheet if you don't believe me)...just move on with your life. The wait is agonizing but I'm at the acceptance stage now
