Hey there!

First time poster here. Just submitted my express entry profile, and I got a message immediately that told me I have to register with Job Bank as I do not have a valid job offer. But I do. In fact, I'm already working here! My girlfriend got a message back that basically told her she had none of the information that she actually did submit (told her she did not have a language test when she had, didn't have work experience when she had, didn't have qualifications etc.)

Has anyone encountered problems like this before? Wondering what to do next, I plan to ring immigration tomorrow but I do not foresee it being much help to me.

Thanks for any help!

A 'valid' job offer is one that is LMIA approved and nets you 600 additional points. Any other job offer isn't valid under EE.

Ah I see, thanks! So even with my current job I will still have to register with Job Bank?

If it doesn't get you those additional points,Yes.

Cool! Is there any way my current job can get me additional points? I am working in a NOC class B position.

Well if you have at least 1 year experience then you can get some more point as Canadian Experience. Other than that only places where you can improve your points is to retake your Language Test.

Job Bank registration is just a formality, but it is necessary to activate your profile. I suggest doing it asap and getting it out of the way.
If you wish to, you can get an LMIA approval for your current job- but you will have to arrange that with your employer, and it is a major hassle. Refer to this link for more information.
