CIC doesn't have Employment Reference Letter request form??

I tried getting an employment reference letter from my current employer, but was asked by my employer to provide a signed form from CIC, in which I authorize my employer to send my employment verification over to CIC.

Does CIC provide a "Request for employment verification/reference" form that I can provide to my employer?

My employer doesn't want to provide a reference letter without some sort of formal request from CIC, in which I give authorization to my employer to release the information.

I'm at a loss and feel like I'm in a Catch 22 situation here.

what have you submitted while applying?
there will be two documents to upload one is offer letter and the other is employment letter... did u send both??
or is your question related to before uploading..?

No, they won't provide anything.

Those placeholders will only appear for those claiming a valid job offer. OP hasn't stated any of the sort.

My apologies, this is the requirement for an employment reference letter with respect to applying under Express Entry with an Invitation To Apply (ITA).

I don't have a job offer, but just wanted to get my current employer to provide a letter verifying my work experience and job responsibilities, that I can present to CIC as part of my application.

Show them your ITA letter and see if that works.

If they refuse ask a manager or colleague to write a reference letter in plain paper and provide proof that they work for the company.
