CIC didn't look carefully!

We submitted an application for family class sponsorship via my husband (a permanent resident). I posted it in late February. I've just had the whole thing back from CIC with a letter saying we left out my son's passport copy. We did not leave it out. It's even included in the return pack they sent us. Do I seriously just have to put it back in another envelope and post it back again unchanged becuase they didn't check properly? We've just lost two months for no reason!! Is there any number I can call to explain this and maybe hurry it up?? I can't believe they've just not checked properly and chucked it back to us!

Surprising your application was return because of a missing passport, which is allowed to be submitted later according as stated in the checklist

Note:
Although you do not need to have a valid passport or travel document when you submit your application, you must have a valid travel
document or passport to be able to travel to Canada and to be admitted for permanent residence.

Check for updated forms/checklist requirements. You will need to follow any new requirements. You can have your sponsor contact their MP to put in a complaint.

We ended up just re-applying in May and received AOR in June, so here's hoping it's all worked out for the best! We actually ended up moving in May, so were able to do everything from our new address.
